Luxport got its start from a young entrepreneur with a passion for cars and people. After graduating from Georgia Tech with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Eric Alimena began his career in entrepreneurship with Airborne Motorsports, a performance parts business that helped fund his passion for racing.
Through many unexpected twists and turns, Eric landed a part time job driving a luxury limousine for a small ground transportation provider in 2005. Eric saw an opportunity for professional, reliable, luxury transportation limo service in Atlanta. With a focus on doing things legally, ethically and to provide exceptional customer service, Eric bought his first stretched limousine on March 1, 2007 and Alimena Limousine was created.
With the onset of ride-share companies and a desire to stand out from other transportation and limo companies in Atlanta, Alimena Limousine made a decision to restructure the company and develop a premium brand. In September of 2014 the company began its transformation from Alimena Limousine to Alimena Limousine & Worldwide Transportation with a new focus, a new plan and new vehicles. During 2015, the company created all new company statements, including a new purpose, mission, vision and value statement called The Alimena Standard Of Servanthood. The company also expanded operations worldwide, lead an initiative handing out over 1,000 care packs to people in need in Atlanta and created an employee plan that gives employees a clear plan for growth in the company. The next 2 years the company was honored by being a Finalist for the Gwinnett County Impact and Pinnacle Awards. In 2016 the restructure continued by bringing in experts to assess and drive the company forward with a new purpose centered around the idea of Making a Difference...
Eric Alimena did not want the company to be his company but a company of equals. Each person has a specific role where no one person is any more important than another. With a new unified focus and with the union of Casey Corporate Transportation and Hennessy Transportation with Alimena Worldwide, the idea of rebranding became necessary to create that unified image and allow for other acquisitions and mergers to be more unified. The name Luxport, short for "Luxury Transportation", was chosen. Luxport put together a very ambitious post-COVID growth plan in order to fulfill it's vision of Creating a world-class, self-sustaining and profitable company as a result of Making a Difference in people’s lives by creating unique employee, customer and community experiences using technology, innovation and service..
